Just a short drive from Sunset Park are literally the "Bright Lights" of Blackpool with its world famous Illuminations, Tower and three piers. Take a tram ride to South Shore where the white knuckle rides of the Pleasure Beach are near the indoor fun of the Sandcastle as well as countless pubs and night clubs in Britain's premier seaside resort.
The town can also boast year round shows at the Opera House, the Winter Gardens and the historic Blackpool's Grand Theatre, catering for all tastes. More family fun is available at the Tower Circus and Blackpool Zoo.
Choose your personal favourite on Blackpool’s famous promenade: whether it’s an encounter with weird and wonderful creatures from the deep at the SEA LIFE Centre; meeting your favourite celebrities at Louis Tussaud’s; a spot of crazy golf on the Golden Mile or Pleasure Beach Resort ; a visit to a pier or checking out the cornucopia of crazy objects in Ripley’s Believe It or Not!
Outside Blackpool are the smaller towns: to the north, the port of Fleetwood with its marina and the windmill at Thornton Cleveleys and to the south Lytham St.Annes with it famous golf courses. All connected by miles of sandy beaches the length of the Fylde Coast.
Within an hours drive to the north is the glorious Lake District, the ideal location for walking, eating and shopping and of course taking in the spectacular views of the mountains and lakes.
