Access Statement For Sunset Park
We strive to ensure that all visitors can enjoy the accommodation, facilities and surroundings within the park. Our aim is to help in anyway that we can and if you require any assistance during your stay or whilst planning your visit we will be delighted to assist. Our current facilities and services offered are:
• We cater for privately owned caravan holiday homes and lodges.
• We can post a copy of this access statement if required.
• We can offer large print format if needed
• We have a version on our website, www.sunsetpark.co.uk, for the visually impaired giving all the information needed about our park.
• Reception area has a large tarmac car park with visitor parking clearly marked. It is well lit with lights coming on by sensor when needed.
• There are seven visitors bays with easy flat access to the office
• All facilities are clearly signposted with signs at each junction point.
• Access to reception, club, pool and shop is directly from the car park
• There is a level pavement to the entrance.
• The doors are 800mm wide.
• There is level access to the doors from the pavement
• There is ample room within for a large wheelchair to manoeuvre and turn
• The reception, Club and offices are carpeted. There is plenty of friendly seating and room to manoeuvre.
• Accessible parking bays are within 35metres of reception for use whilst in reception
• Tarmac roads service 99% of the park.
• The park is situated in a semi rural location.
• All roads on the park are flat.
• There is a bus stop at the entrance 600metres from reception.
• The children’s play area is a shale finish with a quiet grassed area with seating nearby.
• Access to the bar and pool is by the main reception.
• There is an internal step of 160mm high to the pool table and video machines. All other machine are on a level surface.
• The bar is on the level and has a selection of different table and chairs (some with central column some without). Tables and chairs can be moved on request.
• The smoking shelter is outside and is level.
• The disabled toilet has access from the main room with no steps, and has been designed specifically for use by disabled customers.
• Pool entrance is via the main room and under lock and key.
• Access is via Sunset club. With a 160mm step to the laundry.
• There are two front loading drying machines, two washing machines are top loading (height 93cm)
• Iron is accessible from seated or standing position and ironing board is adjustable.
• The shop is in the same building and shares the same entrances and parking as the reception
• Access is directly from the car park.
• There is a level pavement to the entrance and there is level access through doors
• The doors are 800mm wide.
• The shop is on one level
• There is ample room within for a large wheelchair to manoeuvre and turn
• Staff will offer assistance if required.
• Mobile telephone coverage is good in this area a public telephone is also provided.
• There is a local bus service at the entrance of the park
• Wireless internet access is available.
• We have undertaken a Fire Risk Assessment. All emergency routes are clearly marked.
